1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HeyTurk ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete, and that you will keep it up to date.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same individual.
- Notify us immediately at our contact page if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for an extended period.
4. Courses and Enrolment
HeyTurk offers structured Turkish-language courses delivered by qualified teachers. Upon enrolment:
- You receive access to course materials, live sessions, and files as specified in the course description.
- A teacher will be assigned to your enrolment; we cannot guarantee a specific teacher unless expressly stated.
- Course content and schedules may be updated from time to time to improve quality. Material changes will be communicated in advance.
- Your progress and attendance are recorded to help your teacher support you effectively.
5. Payments
All fees are displayed in USD and are due at the time of enrolment unless an instalment plan is offered for a specific course.
- Payments are processed securely via PayPal or Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Instalment payments must be completed on schedule; failure to pay may result in suspension of access until the outstanding balance is settled.
- Prices are subject to change. Any price change will not affect enrolments already paid in full.
- In the event of a payment dispute, contact us within 30 days of the transaction date.
6. Refund Policy
- Full refunds are available within 7 days of enrolment, provided no more than one lesson session has been attended.
- After 7 days, or once two or more sessions have been attended, no refund will be issued.
- If HeyTurk cancels a course before it begins, you will receive a full refund.
- Refund requests should be submitted via our contact page.
7. Session Bookings
Live one-to-one or group sessions may be booked through the Platform. You agree to:
- Attend booked sessions on time. Missed sessions without 24-hour notice may be counted as attended.
- Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations are at your teacher's discretion.
- Maintain a respectful, professional environment during all live sessions.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or infringing on any third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its related systems.
- Reproduce, redistribute, or resell course materials without express written permission.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or extract content from the Platform.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including course materials, videos, exercises, text, graphics, and logos — is the property of HeyTurk or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for your personal learning only. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or published without prior written consent.
10. Teacher Conduct
Teachers on HeyTurk are independent contractors who deliver instruction through the Platform. HeyTurk facilitates but does not directly employ teachers. Teachers are expected to maintain professional standards, deliver sessions as scheduled, and provide constructive feedback. If you experience unprofessional conduct from a teacher, please report it via our contact page immediately.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeyTurk and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to HeyTurk in the 30 days preceding the claim.
13. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services including PayPal, Stripe, Zoom, Google, and others. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. HeyTurk is not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction of the competent courts, as applicable.
